Josh Hawley embarrassed himself this week as he attempted to chase down his opponent, Lucas Kunce. In an attempt to get him to debate.
Hawley, a senator since 2018, has frequently been a humiliating figure for the GOP. He is perhaps best known for cheering on insurrectionists on January 6th. And while Missouri is a red state, Kamala Harris's popularity is seemingly putting all states in play for the Democrats.
In 2024, Hawley will take on Kunce, a Democrat and a military veteran. The Republican seems to think that his best course of action is to go after Kunce personally.
On Thursday, Hawley posted a clip on his Twitter account of him accusing Kunce in an attempt to get him to debate. He began, "Let's go find him. Where's he been? I haven't seen him. You guys seen him?"
The ensuing conversation went like this:
"KUNCE: How you doing, man?
HAWLEY: We gonna debate today?
KUNCE: I don’t know what you’re talking about, dude.
HAWLEY: You don’t know!? I read your bullshit letter to the Farm Bureau. Are you going to sue the Farm Bureau?
KUNCE: Dude, you’re really obsessed with this stuff.
HAWLEY: Come on!
KUNCE: You’re really obsessed with this stuff.
HAWLEY: Come on! Are you going to debate me today?
KUNCE: You already got the Farm Bureau and the state fair in trouble, man.
HAWLEY: Let’s go!"
