An anti-vax trucker convoy has spent the last few weeks in Washington DC. No one really knows that they are protesting, because most COVID restrictions have already been lifted.

The reaction to the trucker’s presence in DC has been overwhelmingly negative and the protesters have been stung by resistance to their movement. The demonstrators, though, at least have the support of a number of GOP lawmakers.
During a recent speech, the leader of the movement claimed that Joni Ernst recently took time to thank them for their protest. Ernst, like many Republican lawmakers has received the vaccine. The Iowa senator was criticized for getting the shot despite claiming that the number of COVID cases had been inflated by the CDC.

Ted Cruz, not surprisingly, has also supported the protesters. The Texas senator, who is vaccinated, told the convoy members, “If you make the choice to take the COVID vaccine, God bless you. That’s your right, and you have every right to do that. But if you make the choice not to take the vaccine, that is also your right.”
