Thanks to his family's wealth, Donald Trump always had access to the best education money could buy. He attended private schools and somehow got into an Ivy League school, the University of Pennsylvania.
Trump may have had a chance to attend the best schools, but it doesn't seem like he learned anything there. This weekend, while in Pennsylvania, Trump gave is historically inaccurate take on the Battle of Gettysburg. Jon Stewart took aim at the former President's comments during his Monday night edition of The Daily Show.
The host set up the clip by telling his audience, "If you thought Lincoln consecrated Gettysburg with his soaring rhetoric."
Stewart then played a clip of Trump telling rally-goers, "Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was. The Battle of Gettysburg, what an unbelievable, I mean, it was so much and so interesting and so vicious and horrible and so beautiful in so many different ways, and it represented such a big portion of the success of this country. Gettysburg, wow."
After pausing to let his audience laugh at the former President, Stewart weighed in:
"That is plagiarized almost directly from my 7th grade book report, 'Gettsyburg.' Wow, I did not do well. It was vicious and horrible and beautiful. Is he talking about a Civil War battle or a horse giving birth? It was bloody, but it's life..."
