Joe Scarborough Mocks GOP Reps Who Feel The Need to Bring Guns Onto House Floor
Conservatives love their guns. Most Republicans make “protecting” the 2nd Amendment a hallmark of their campaign. You can’t, however, bring guns everywhere. And one of the places where you can’t bring a gun is into the House of Representatives.
That doesn’t mean that GOP lawmakers won’t try. Nancy Pelosi recently announced fines and punishment for congresspeople who attempt to bypass security. That didn’t stop Andy Harris (R-MD) from trying to bring a firearm onto the floor yesterday. This morning, Joe Scarborough mocked lawmakers like Harris who can’t go anywhere without a gun.
Scarborough began, “Really, the stupidity is just extraordinary. By the way, I’m speaking as somebody who has done this, somebody who made thousands and thousands of votes. I’ve been there and I voted. As long as Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump aren’t trying to get Americans to kill Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence and commit insurrection against the United States of America.”
The MSNBC host continued:
“There are Democrats who can say that they have had their life threatened or they have reason to believe that they are being targeted by somebody carrying an AR-15 and sending it around saying I’m coming to get these members of Congress. So please, please stop your whining, start getting wanded, and go in and just vote and shut up, you’re not special!”
