During a recent broadcast of his podcast, Joe Rogan said that he will back Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for President over Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
Joe Rogan has built a massive podcast audience partly because his willingness to platform conspiracy theorists and talk deeply about their ideas. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running for President as an Independent, is among the most prominent conspiracy theorists in the country. So Rogan's backing of him should come as no surprise.
Rogan slammed Democrats for making Kamala Harris the party's candidate without holding a primary. He said to guest Sam Gymlan, "That’s just what they do. That’s politics. They do it on the left, they do it on the right. They gaslight you, they manipulate you, they promote narratives, and the only one who is not doing that is Robert F. Kennedy Jr."
After his guest asked if he was a fan of RFK Jr., Rogan answered:
"Yeah, I am a fan. He’s the only one that makes sense to me. He’s the only one — he doesn’t attack people, he attacks actions and ideas, but he’s much more reasonable and intelligent. I mean, the guy was an environmental lawyer and he cleaned up the East River. He’s a legitimate guy."
Rogan did say that he thinks that Harris could win the election, saying, "I’m saying it because she could. I’m not saying it because I think she’s going to and I’m not saying it because I want her to. I’m just being honest. I could see her winning."
