Joe Biden Furiously Responds to Trump’s Attack on His Faith
Donald Trump has been leveling every attack he can muster at Joe Biden. So far, however, none of these punches are seeming to land. Whether it be an attempted investigation into Hunter Biden or an attack on the former Vice President’s mental cognition, Trump can pull himself out of the polling doldrums.
During an interview yesterday, the President decided on a new stratetgy. He attacked Biden’s faith, saying that his opponent is “against the bible.” Late last night, Biden furiously responded to the criticism.
Trump made the comments while speaking with Geraldo Rivera. He told the host, “Biden’s against all these things. He’s against oil and gas, he’s against the Bible — essentially against religion, but against the Bible — and he’s against the Second Amendment.”
Biden addressed the comments in a statement put out by his campaign. The former VP wrote, “For President Trump to attack my faith is shameful. It’s beneath the office he holds and it’s beneath the dignity the American people so rightly expect and deserve from their leaders. However, like the words of so many other insecure bullies, President Trump’s comments reveal more about him than they do about anyone else.”
The presumptive Democratic candidate continued:
“As I’ve said so many times before, we’re in the battle for the soul of our nation, and President Trump’s decision today to profane God and to smear my faith in a political attack is a stark reminder of what the stakes of this fight truly are.”
