During Monday's edition of Morning Joe, the hosts blasted those Conservative pundits who are nit-picking Kamala Harris and not holding Donald Trump to the same standard.
Kamala Harris has seemingly done everything right since she took over the Democratic ticket for President. That doesn't mean she is going to take criticism from Conservative leading pundits. And one complaint frequently made is that Harris is not answering enough questions about her policies.
Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski took particular issue with two pundits, Bret Stephens and Daniel Henninger, who say Harris talks more about her background than her politics. "That's a lie, an absolute lie," Scarborough said. "It ignores what politicians have been doing for hundreds of years."
The host then explained:
"But now, as we get into the homestretch, the anti-anti-Trumpers who just can't admit they are going to vote for a man who tried to overthrow American democracy, who did what they did on Jan. 6, they're desperately trying to create the permission structure so they can vote for a man who said he was going to terminate the Constitution, that the chairman of the joint chiefs should be executed."
Scarborough closed, "This is absolutely insane, the false equivalency. You see it from Bret Stephens. You see it at the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the false equivalencies they are desperately pushing at the end of this campaign."
