During his show on Tuesday night, Jimmy Fallon offered Kamala Harris some insight into how she could rattle Donald Trump during their upcoming debate.
Of all the late-night hosts, Jimmy Fallon probably goes the easiest on the former President. Fallon took heat back in 2016 for being too playful with Trump when he appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show.
While he may not be Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel, Fallon isn't afraid to occasionally take some shots at Trump. And he did just that on Tuesday night while discussing the looming debate.
The comedian opened his joke by saying, "Both Harris and Trump are spending hours each day preparing. Harris is working on various comebacks, while Trump is up to 80 hot dogs in 10 minutes."
Fallon continued:
"Apparently in her debate prep, Harris is focusing on ways to rattle Trump, yep, she wants to rattle Trump. Right now she’s deciding whether to wear a jacket that says IRS or FBI.”
Harris has already begun to go after Trump by mocking his team's push to keep a mute on his microphone (her campaign agreed to the terms this week. The Vice President wrote on the website now known as X:
"Donald Trump is surrendering to his advisors who won't allow him to debate with a live microphone. If his own team doesn't have confidence in him, the American people definitely can’t. We are running for President of the United States. Let’s debate in a transparent way—with the microphones on the whole time."
