Jim Jordan Appears to Agree With Trump’s Death Threats Against Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Campaign Aides

Donald Trump is calling for the execution of some who worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, and now Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) seems to be on board as well.

Jordan, who has refused to cooperate with the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol carried out by Trump supporters, appeared on “Fox & Friends” to discuss the seemingly fabricated memo from Trump appointee John Durham falsely blaming Hillary Clinton of paying a tech company to “infiltrate” Trump Tower servers looking for links between Trump and Russia.

Trump and his allies have long said that the special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation from 2017 to 2019 into his campaign’s links to Russia was a “witch hunt,” and he once again leaned on that in his latest attempt to rewrite the history of his 2020 loss to Joe Biden and distract from his current legal problems.”This is a scandal far greater in scope and magnitude than Watergate and those who were involved in and knew about this spying operation should be subject to criminal prosecution,” Trump said in a statement via his spokesperson, Liz Harrington. “In a stronger period of time in our country, this crime would have been punishable by death.”

“That is what is so frightening here,” Jordan said on “Fox & Friends” on Sunday. “You had the government working with the Clinton campaign to go after the Republican Party’s nominee for president to spy on that campaign. We’ve never seen anything like this in history,” Jordan babbled on. “So, President Trump’s statement yesterday, I think is right on target.”

While the Fox News hosts didn’t specifically mention Trump’s call for execution during the interview, Jordan gamely shared a link to the Fox News story, which included the full statement from Trump. Jordan didn’t provide any proof of his assertion that the US government was involved.

Durham was appointed by then-Attorney General Bill Barr in October 2020 to investigate the US government investigation of the Trump 2016 campaign’s connections with Russia.
