[COMMENTARY] Jim Acosta Compares Ted Cruz to ‘The Gimp’ From ‘Pulp Fiction’ After Groveling Appearance With Tucker Carlson

Walking subhuman cringe Ted Cruz is getting raked over the social media coals for crawling back his comments where he rightfully called the terrorists who attacked the Capitol on January 6th “terrorists.” Caught up in the somber moment of the one-year anniversary of the riot (and carefully sidestepping the widely seen footage of Trump supporters standing at the podium on the Senate floor and using Cruz’s name while gathering up all kinds of papers they shouldn’t have been able to get their hands on), Cruz slipped and spoke truthful words to describe a moment in history witnessed by millions.

Ooopsie.

Just as a refresher, this is what it sounds like when Trump supporters each other and then talk with their mouths full of someone else’s words because they think they’re running for President in 2024.

One could literally spend days reading all of the hate tweets against Cruz after that display, and every single one would be worth the time. And while so many brilliant people are scrambling to find new and different ways to describe the thoroughly unlikeable Cruz better than Al Franken so famously did, we’re handing the trophy to CNN’s Jim Acosta, who managed to find the perfect pop culture reference to bust out as 90s kids are having their Renaissance.

We’re not a website that works blue, but if you need a reminder of that infamous sequence that’s been imprinted on pop culture since 1994, it’s here. Twitter users were delighted with the newest way to drag Cruz and added the new moniker to the seemingly endless pile of nicknames Cruz earns for himself on the daily.
