Jeffrey Epstein Accuser Sues Trump Friend, Alan Dershowitz

The more Alan Dershowitz has been criticized for his support of Donald Trump, the more he digs his heels in. The prominent lawyer says losing friends over the president is like, “a badge of honor.”

Friend of Presidents, the ultra-rich and the elite of Wall Street’s bankers Jeff Epstein remains an enigma to many in the world of finance despite handling portfolios estimated to be worth over $15 billion. He is seen here at left in conversation with Professor Alan Dershowitz one of America’s best-known legal experts. Dershowitz’s relationship with another client, disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, may cause him more significant problems. A woman named, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims to be one of Epstein’s victims, has filed a defamation lawsuit against the lawyer.

In the suit, Giuffree alleges that Dershowitz employed, “a desperate barrage of false and increasingly defamatory attacks against her.” She claims the lawyer “was also a participant in sex trafficking, including as one of the men to whom Epstein lent out [Giuffre] for sex.”

In March of 2019, Dershowitz used his Twitter feed to encourage his accusers to sue him. He wrote, “I hereby accuse my false accusers of committing the felony of perjury and challenge them to sue me for defamation.” Giuffre has taken him up on his challenge.

Dershowitz had a cheerful response to the suit. The lawyer told the Daily Beast, “I welcome it. This lawsuit gives me the opportunity I’ve been looking for to prove Virginia Roberts has committed perjury and will continue to commit perjury in federal court.”

Giuffre does have one witness who may help her story. Virginia Farmer says she was hired by Epstein to watch the door at his 71st Street apartment in Manhattan. Under-aged girls were allegedly kept upstairs at the apartment and men would go up to utilize their services.

In an affidavit, Farmer said the lawyer was a frequent guest. “Dershowitz was very comfortable at the home and would come in and walk upstairs.”

Dershowitz has denied these claims as well, “Maria Farmer stopped working for Epstein before I ever met Epstein. It’s a totally perjured affidavit. It’s all totally made up. For her lawyers to submit these obviously perjured affidavits raises serious questions about their role in this case.”
