Jeanine Pirro Rips the Inflexibility of Fox News
Judge Jeanine Pirro, who had at one time served as the District Attorney of New York’s Westchester Country, now works as a Fox News host. She is perhaps best known as a frequent supporter of the President and frequently discusses the legal ramifications of his administration’s policies.
This support of the president has landed the judge in hot water in more than one occasion. Recently, she spoke with conservative provocateur, Sebastian Gorka about her relationship with her network. During the spot, she noted that Fox had suspended her and admitted to being taken aback by the punishment.
Gorka asked Pirro, “Hey Jeanine, we’re still live, the mics are live on YouTube. Are you doing any events in D.C. again? In the near future?”
The judge responded, “You know Fox reviews everything. They’re unbelievable.” Gorka then inquired about potential restrictions Fox might place on the host. Pirro said, “No. They’re still saying you cannot do Bill O’Reilly, you cannot do Newsmax. You know what, they suspended me. And I’m not going to get fired. You know I’m worried that that suspension was the basis to tee up for anything I do wrong, they’ll fire me.”
In March of this year, Pirro faced severe backlash for her comments on congresswoman Ilhan Omar. The host asked, “Think about it. Omar wears a hijab, which according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested. Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?”
While at one time, there was a question as to whether of not Pirro was suspended for these comments, her interview with Gorka seems to have closed the matter.
