James Comer: I Stopped Going on Fox & Friends Because of Steve Doocy

For many years the Fox News network has provided a safe space for lawmaking Republicans. They can go on the channel, push whatever story they're pushing, and face little to no follow-up questions from the hosts.

James Comer's investigation into Joe Biden, though, has revealed no evidence despite big claims from the Kentucky senator. Fox and Friends' Steve Doocy has pressed Comer on his lack of evidence during his last few appearances on the show. And for that reason, the House Oversight chair, says he wont be going on anymore.

Comer made his complaint during an appearance on Newsmax. Host Eric Bolling played a clip of Doocy saying, "The Republicans at this point don’t have– they have a lot of ledgers and spreadsheets, but they have not connected the dots. They’ve connected the dots, the Department of Justice did on Hunter, but they have not shown where Joe Biden, you know, did anything illegally."

The host then asked, "Why would Doocy say, after all the work you’ve done, that you have nothing?"

The Kentucky Congressman responded:

"He’s had that position from the very beginning. I’ve quit going on Fox & Friends because of Doocy, you know? I mean, he’s the one guy on Fox that’s been very critical of the investigation. I have my theory why, and we’ll talk about that at a later point, but at the end of the day, he’s entitled to his opinion, but I don’t think the average viewer of Fox News agrees with Doocy one bit."
