James Carville: J.D. Vance Wants No Part of Debating Tim Walz

While speaking with Jake Tapper before last night's campaign event, James Carville said that J.D. Vance wants no part of debating Kamala Harris's VP Tim Walz.

Carville has recently drawn the ire of Democrats by continually throwing cold water on Kamala Harris's presidential campaign but the strategist seems to be changing his tune. Prior to last night's event in Philadelphia, Carville lauded Tim Walz and his abilities.

While speaking with CNN host Jake Tapper, Carville began

"Let’s get the convention behind us. I don’t think Trump wants to debate. JD Vance [doesn’t] want to get within 50 miles of Governor Walz, I can tell you that. There’s a lot of football left to play here, and I’m excited. And I’m tired of banging my helmet against the locker. Let’s go out there and play some ball. We’re ready. We’re excited, Jake, we really are."

The strategist continued, "First of all, not call Trump a change candidate. He’s a backwards candidate. We’re not talking about four years from now. He wants to talk about four years ago. And I think that’s a pretty simple dynamic on our part."

Carville closed, "What I would like to see is come down tough on the side of consumers. Come down tough on corporate price fixing and price gouging. I think this would be something that would be eminently beneficial."
