Jake Tapper Torches GOP’s Failed Clown Car Coup
CNN’s Jake Tapper penned a perfect post-game analysis following the Supreme Court’s resounding rejection of a lawsuit filed by Texas and joined by seventeen other states seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
“Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections,” the Court said in an unsigned opinion. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, both of whom are conservatives, took it one step further, saying that the plaintiffs lacked standing and that they would have ruled against Texas even if the case had been heard.
Tapper mercilessly mocked President Donald Trump and the GOP for participating in the seditiously stupid coup.
“I don’t think we as a nation have ever seen someone lose so spectacularly, decisively, pathetically, over and over. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a leader lose so methodically, so ridiculously, so masochistically,” Tapper quipped on Twitter.
“2/ And have we ever before seen so many officials say ‘hey! That losing you’re doing so hideously, so flailingly, so spasmodically — that looks like something I want to be a part of! This effort, based on nonsense and lies, to disenfranchise millions of Americans, sign me up!'” he added.

Thus, the outgoing president’s preposterous plot to subvert American democracy was finally administered the legal lethal injection it deserved.
The Electoral College’s electors will convene on Monday to cast their ballots. Then, on Thursday, January 6, Congress will tally those votes and certify that Democrat Joe Biden will be sworn in as the next president of the United States.
Thirty-nine days until the inauguration.
