Ivy Leaguer Elon Musk Tells Trumpers That College is Overrated

Elon Musk shared a clip today on social media where he argued against a college degree instead of pushing trades.

There is a massive education gap between Republicans and Democrats. Donald Trump could not have won the election in 2016 without the support of white men who didn't attend college. And once people do obtain a degree, they become much more likely to vote Democrat.

Musk, who is currently running a questionably legal voter registration scheme in Pennsylvania, may have been considering this fact when posting his video arguing against a college education. The Tesla CEO and University of Pennsylvania graduate explained

"I also think that, like the value of a college education is is somewhat overrated. You know, and I think it’s to to too many people actually spend four years, accumulate a ton of debt, and then don’t they often don’t have useful skills that they can apply afterwards. And I think I have a lot of respect for people who work with their hands. And we need electricians and plumbers and carpenters and you know."

Musk continued, "That’s that’s a lot more important than having incremental poli– political science majors, I think. You know, so I think we should not have this idea that that to be successful you need to have a four-year college, that that is simply not true."
