“It’s Twitter, Not r/PersecutionFetish” Matt Gaetz Ruthlessly Owned For Thinking His Popularity Depends On Elon Musk’s Whims

Apparently, Matt Gaetz believes that his Twitter popularity fluctuates on the whims of Elon Musk. The general public, however, finds this idea, and Gaetz’s obsession with his tweet audience size in general, both hilarious and ridiculous in an elected official.

After the announcement that Elon Musk had made a deal to purchase Twitter, conservatives began to claim that they had more engagement and more followers immediately, even though the sale wouldn’t go through for months and Musk had not actually taken any control of the site.

Donald Trump Jr. even mused that perhaps Twitter employees were “burning the evidence before new management comes in.”

When Musk tweeted that there would be a delay, while he waited for more information on bots and spam accounts on the site, Gaetz immediately announced that he was suffering the symptoms of a shadowban.

Sure, Matt. Everyone is supposed to believe that Twitter employees were keeping you down until they heard Musk was buying the site, after which they quickly stopped whatever they were doing to keep you from having the level of ego boost you needed, but when they learned Musk was in no hurry, they put you on the secret blacklist again. That’s a q-anon conspiracy level of persecution complex.

Meanwhile, Musk says he still plans to go through with the purchase, so whatever loss in engagement Gaetz is suffering or imagining, it probably doesn’t have much to do with him.
