Is Taylor Swift Ready to Endorse Kamala Harris? Swifties Say Yes [COMMENTARY]

Taylor Swift might be on the verge of breaking the internet forever, if Swifties are to believe the ultimate Easter egg from the Mastermind herself.

Swift is currently overseas with the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour, but still has time to update her Instagram and lovingly clown her fanbase with teases about what might be coming next. From the colors of her costumes to the surprise song choices each night, Swifties are trying to unlock when we're finally getting "Reputation (Taylor's Version)."

Yes, I said, "we."

I proudly identify as a "Swiftie Over 50," having been a fan for a decade now. I know that makes me late to the game in Swiftiedom, but the great thing about Taylor Swift and her fans is that we're happy to have you no matter how long it took you to catch on. Take the friendship bracelet!

Taylor first dipped a toe into politics during the 2018 midterms, when she was horrified at the candidacy of anti-woman Marsha "Bag O'Hair" Blackburn in their shared state of Tennessee. Swift had famously not commented about politics before the Trump administration, which left a lot of people assuming she was a Republican solely based on being a white female country artist (at first) who was also a Christian.

It turns out, those people were wrong. Taylor chose to use her powerful position to speak now, even as the men in her life--including her father--wanted her to hold her peace.

We know how that turned out, but now everything has changed.

Taylor has only gotten more powerful since then. She encourages her fans to vote, but hasn't yet endorsed anyone this year.

For the last two weeks, Swifties have been waiting to see if Taylor is going to endorse Kamala Harris, and we just might have gotten a clue yesterday after her performance in Warsaw.

Who's that there next to you, Taylor? Is that our next President, Kamala Harris?

If we're seeing what we think we're seeing, things are about to pop off politically like never before.

We're ready for it, that's for sure.
