Iran Says There Are 35 Us Targets They May Hit, Trump Responds That There Are 52 Iranian Targets America Could Hit

After the United States troops killed Iranian Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian government vowed that they would retaliate in kind. US Intelligence had to prepare for a number of different types of response whether it be bomb strikes, embassy attacks or cyber terrorism.

Iran somewhat tipped their hands on Saturday when Iranian General Gholamali Abuhamzeh said there were 35 American targets they could hit. US President Donald Trump responded to the threat by saying that the US has identified 52 Iranian targets that could be hit by American forces.

The American areas that Abuhamzeh discussed were mostly located in the Middle East. He told reporters US areas of importance had be determined, “a long time ago.”

He continued, “The Strait of Hormuz is a vital point for the West and a large number of American destroyers and warships cross there … some 35 US targets in the region as well as Tel Aviv are within our reach.”

Trump was quick to respond to the clear threats from Iran. He took to Twitter, writing, “Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently.”

The President continued, “Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!”
