This had not been a good week for Infowars and its controversial founder, Alex Jones. This week, Jones was accused of sending child pornography to parents of Sandy Hook massacre victims. The Infowars host was also sanctioned by Connecticut Judge, Barbara Bellis, for discussing the case during his broadcast last week.
During last nights broadcast, host Owen Shroyer, who is also named in the Sandy Hook lawsuits, had other things on his mind. While discussing what he described as a coup against Donald Trump, he called for the lynching of former President Barack Obama.
While discussing that he called, Obama’s treason, Shroyer made these startling comments:
“Folks, Obama was emailing Hillary Clinton on her illegal server under a secret name, that came out in emails. And he claimed he didn’t know she had it. Barack Obama is a treasonous…he belongs in jail. He belongs in Guantanamo Bay. I mean look, I’m not saying this should happen but Barack Obama, you know, find the tallest tree and a rope.”
The Infowars show is known for pushing conspiracy theories and has been banned on multiple platforms. The channel and Jones, “were banned by YouTube, Apple and Facebook in August 2018 and Twitter the following month for repeatedly violating each company’s policies against online hate speech.”
That does not mean, however, that the hosts are unable to disseminate their messages to their loyal base of followers. The video in which Shroyer calls for the lynching of the former President is currently uploaded to Youtube and now pulled down by the site yet.
