‘I was happy to do It’ Matt Gaetz Reportedly Told Trump Over The Phone, Referring to Cohen Tweet
Republican congressman Matt Gaetz (R-Fl) was reportedly overheard discussing his threatening tweet about Michael Cohen with President Trump yesterday.
Edward-Isaac Dovere of The Atlantic tweeted that Gaetz spoke to the president, who was in Hanoi, Vietnam for talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, over the phone.
“I was happy to do it for you. You just keep killing it,” Gaetz was overhead saying in reference to his vile tweet that threatened Cohen.
President Trump called @mattgaetz last night from Hanoi to talk the Cohen testimony and the threats (since rescinded) Gaetz made about Cohen.
"I was happy to do it for you. You just keep killing it," Gaetz was heard telling him.

Gaetz disputed this claim and says that he doesn’t discuss his talks with President Trump, using the classic “fake news” moniker in a tweet.

Gaetz, who was called out by house speaker Nancy Pelosi for his tweets that threatened Michael Cohen’s family, feigned an apology and eventually deleted the tweet.
Gaetz attended yesterday’s highly watched Congressional hearing involving key testimony from Cohen, even though he is not actually a member of the Congressional Oversight Committee.
Gaetz’s office has yet to respond to this very troubling report.
