In January of this year, Trump adviser Peter Navarro appeared on MSNBC to describe the Trump White House’s plan to overturn the 2020 election. At one point, host Ari Melber stopped to ask, “Do you realize that you are describing a coup?”
It was no surprise that the January 6th Committee wanted to speak with Navarro. It was also no surprise that Navarro ignored the subpoena, claiming that he has “executive privilege.” During a recent segment on Sebastian Gorka’s show, the Republican whined about his legal fees and begged for people to buy his Trump book.
Navarro told viewers:
“This is so wrong. This book, taking back Trump’s America, help me, please. I’m looking at a half a million dollars in legal expenses, according to some legal experts, or more, this could go to a million. I’ve gotta raise that money. I can’t kill my retirement by defending these baseless charges. Taking Back Trump’s America, go to Amazon please and order that book.”
