Hypocrite Lindsey Graham Threatens POTUS With Impeachment Over Afghanistan

There are United States Senators. There are hypocrites. And then there is Republican Lindsey Graham, South Carolina’s senior Senator, whose weasely brownnosing of former President Donald Trump teetered on the border between comical and pathetic. That power-gobbling fealty culminated with Graham voting to keep Trump in office after he was impeached a second time for inciting the January 6th Capitol insurrection.

But on Friday, Graham’s hypocrisy reached a new peak when he threatened to impeach President Joe Biden over the chaotic withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. Never mind that it was Trump who negotiated – if one can even call it that – the one-sided exit deal last year which amounted to a surrender of the United States to the Taliban without the consultation or inclusion of the Afghani government.

“We are DUTY bound to get every American citizen out of Afghanistan. We are HONOR bound to get those Afghans who bravely fought by our side out. If we leave any Americans behind, or if we leave thousands of Afghans who fought bravely alongside us behind, President Joe Biden deserves to be impeached for a High Crime and Misdemeanor of Dereliction of Duty,” Graham tweeted.

Graham also appeared on Friday’s edition of the Fox News morning propaganda hour called Fox and Friends, where he reiterated the same warning.

“We are duty-bound to get every American citizen out. We are honor-bound to get those Afghanistan who fought along our side out. And here’s what I would say: If we leave any American behind, if we leave thousands of those Afghans who fought along our side behind, Joe Biden deserves to be impeached or a high crime and misdemeanor or dereliction of duty,” said Graham before repeating his ultimatum. “If we leave one American behind — if we don’t get all those Afghans who have stepped up to the plate to help us out — then Joe Biden, in my view, has committed a high crime and misdemeanor under the Constitution, and should be impeached.”

It should come as no surprise that Twitter did not let Graham off the hook.
