“Huge Fan Of True Crime” Sister Of Ahmaud Arbery’s Killer Posted His Body On Snapchat.
Lindsey McMichael, who is the sister of Travis McMichael, the man who shot and killed Amaud Arbery, snap chatted pictures of his dead body for all to see. The story was originally reported by the Daily Beast on Monday. Lindsey McMichael reportedly said the reason why she did it was that she is a “huge fan of true crime.”
Lindsey pushed back against this view of her in a statement to The Sun. She said, “It was more of a ‘Holy shit, I can’t believe this has happened.’” She admitted, “It was absolutely poor judgment.”
The report went on to say, “Lee Merritt, a lawyer for the Arbery family, condemned Lindsay’s actions, saying it was ‘very disturbing and very disturbing to the family.’ He went on to say, ‘it also highlights that there are probably more video and more images of before, during, and after Ahmaud’s murder — these images aren’t meant for public consumption in this way. It actually fits in with the pattern of the McMichael family engaging in a weird, violent form of voyeurism.”

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, “On February 23, 2020, Ahmaud Arbery was in the Satilla Shores neighborhood in Brunswick, GA when both Gregory and Travis McMichael confronted Arbery with two firearms. During the encounter, Travis McMichael shot and killed Arbery. This case is being investigated in partnership with District Attorney Tom Durden.”
The case caused a lot of anger due to the fact that the McMichaels were not arrested for two months after the killing. Many in the black community see the killing as racially motivated. Now with the revelation of the Snap Chat photos, the situation may only become more heated.
