House Speaker Pelosi Throws Shade, Calling Kevin McCarthy A Member Of Q Party

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn’t seem to mind throwing shade lately. Now she’s addressing the Q-Anon movement’s takeover of the Republican party, and emphasizing it by describing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy as being a member of the Q party.

Instead of describing McCarthy by following his name with an R, for Republican, in a news release chared by Insider reporter Grace Panetta, Pelosi’s office denoted McCarthy’s party with the letter Q.

The release itself is about McCarthy’s failure to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene, the new congresswoman from Georgia, known for her affiliation with Q-Anon, as well as her attacks on school shooting survivors, her calls for violence against her new co-workers (specifically including Pelosi) and her own wild conspiracy theories about Jewish Space Lasers, from committee assignments. Even Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has called her “a cancer on the GOP.”

Since McCarthy won’t act, House Democrats are moving to call a vote and remove Greene for any positions of influence, and a motion will likely be introduced to expel her from Congress entirely.

Pelosi’s statement calls out the GOP for becoming the party of Marjorie Taylor Greene, choosing conspiracy theories and blatant antisemitism over conservatism.

Just last week, Pelosi addressed this, saying that the enemy is already inside the House, and describing individuals who have called for violence against House members, and who insist on bringing weapons into the House Chambers against regulations. While she didn’t name names, Greene seems to fit the House Speaker’s description, along with Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who has been criticized for live-tweeting information regarding Pelosi’s location during the attack on the Capitol last month.
