House Democrat Goes Ballistic at Republicans for Being Totally Detached From Reality

Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio ferociously berated the scores of GOP lawmakers who remain beholden to former President Donald Trump along with their total detachment from reality during a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon.

Ryan delivered his fiery remarks as the House prepares to vote on the formation of a commission to investigate the January 6th insurrection at the United States Capitol – which was spearheaded by Trump, carried out by his supporters, and enabled by his loyalists in the Republican Party – most of whom have announced their opposition to the inquiry.

“I want to thank the gentleman from New York and the other Republicans who are supporting this and thank them for their bipartisanship. To the other 90% of our friends on the other side of the aisle, holy cow. Incoherence. No idea what you’re talking about,” said Ryan.

“Benghazi, you guys chased the former secretary of state all over the country, spent millions of dollars. We have people scaling the Capitol, hitting the Capitol Police with lead pipes across the head and we can’t get bipartisanship,” he continued.

“What else has to happen in this country?” Ryan shouted rhetorically. “Cops, this is a slap in the face this is a slap in the face to cops across America. If we’re going to take on China, reverse climate change, we need two political parties in this country that are both living in reality and you ain’t one of them. I yield back the balance of my time.”

Ryan also posted a salient message to Republicans on Twitter:

I think this country is stronger when we have two political parties that bring solid policy solutions to the table. But to do that, we have to be operating from the same set of facts about a duly held election.
