Here’s Why Lin Wood Wants Bikers For Trump To Monitor Elections
Lin Wood may consider himself Donald Trump’s biggest fan, but his opponent, Drew McKissick, has already received the former president’s endorsement for South Carolina GOP Chair. Now, apparently taking a page from Trump’s book, Wood is accusing his opponent of cheating and ‘rigging’ the election — before it even takes place.
McKissick is the incumbent, and his office holds the list of delegates. On Monday, Wood shared a message he received on Telegram. The Telegram user asserts that McKissick plans to keep the delegate list private, making it harder for other candidates to sway support.
Based on this claim, Wood went on to declare his opponent a cheater who would rig the election, stealing the election not only from Wood, but from “We The People,” and to assert that McKissick would use COVID-19 as a cover to do so.
However, Wood believes he has a solution, which involves getting the Bikers for Trump organization involved. Specifically, he wants them to come in and be officially placed to monitor the election, which he indicates he does not trust his own party leadership to do.
Notably, Donald Trump has already endorsed McKissick for re-election — not just once, but twice, for this same election. The Hill reported last month that Trump was “doubl[ing] down” on his endorsement, releasing a second statement, following his initial endorsement in February. The ex-president lauded McKissick’s battle over voting laws, and said, “He will continue to grow the party and help Conservatives get elected in the Great State of South Carolina. Drew has my Complete and Total Endorsement for re-election.”
