During the 2020 election season, much was made of the friendship between Joe Biden and John McCain. The two became very close in the senate despite their political differences. McCain’s widow, Cindy, ended up endorsing Biden in his race against Donald Trump.
There was a 3rd member of that friendship, Lindsey Graham. Thanks to Graham’s sycophancy towards Donald Trump, his friendship ended with Biden. And according to Meghan McCain, the McCain family is no longer close with the south Carolina senator.
Graham was recently asked about the appearance of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump at John McCain’s family. It was reported that the couple wasn’t invited due to tension between McCain and Trump. The South Carolina lawmaker claimed, “She was upset they were there — I understand that, and she has hard feelings but I know what happened and nobody showed up uninvited. I love Meghan McCain and I understand how stressful all this has been for her and those who attack her dad will never be forgiven by her.”
Lindsey Graham may consider himself a member of my family, but he is not and hasn’t been for a very long time. He certainly doesn’t speak for me or my life experiences. Full stop. The media should stop treating him like he is an expert on anything McCain related.

McCain responded to Graham’s comments via tweeting, “Lindsey Graham may consider himself a member of my family, but he is not and hasn’t been for a very long time. He certainly doesn’t speak for me or my life experiences. Full stop. The media should stop treating him like he is an expert on anything McCain related.”
