Donald Trump has been accused of minimizing the threat of COVID-19. Yesterday, former Republican Max Boot slammed the Fox News network for pushing a similar message to the President, though he did credit Tucker Carlson for taking the pandemic seriously.

For the most part, though, the stars of Fox News have made sure to claim that many are overreacting to the disease. On his Wednesday radio show, Sean Hannity said that it’s possible that the “Deep State” has something to do with the way COVID-19 is being covered.
The host first said that Trump is doing a pretty good job when it comes to issues outside of healthcare. “Gateway Pundit points out that, as of yesterday, that the president’s approval rating is fine, and he’s getting pretty good grades on everything else,” Hannity told his audience.
The Fox personality continued, “There’s an MIT guy I noticed on Twitter, and you know he’s saying pretty much the same thing he does research nearly every single day on immune systems he said quote ‘coronavirus fear-mongering by the deep state will go down in history as one of the biggest frauds to manipulate economies, suppress dissent, and push mandated medicines. May be true.”
Hannity’s source, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai has run for office against Elizabeth Warren and has promoted QAnon theories.
