Paul Manafort has been found guilty of a number of crimes and is awaiting trial on additional charges. The former Trump campaign chairman did get some good news recently, as he will not have to await that trial in Rikers Island prison.

While Robert Mueller and his investigation was baring down on Manafort he found a sympathetic ear from a familiar Fox News host. New transcripts revealed in his trial show that Manafort and Sean Hannity texted hundreds of times and regularly spoke about the investigation.
In on instance, Hannity urged the former campaign chief to stand strong. “Don’t let those as*holes get u down,” the Fox News host wrote. “Punch back HARD.”
In another text, the host of Hannity painted himself as a conservative martyr, “There has never been a time 30 years radio 22 on Fox where I felt a bullseye at my head every single day. It’s an attempted kill shot a day. And Paul, like u, I don’t give a sh*t about me.”
For his part, Manafort consistently played the victim. After Hannity sent a text to see how he was doing, Manafort responded, “Yes. Rough day but yes. Their case is totally BS. Wrong on law and wrong on facts.”
The former Trump campaign chief was very complimentary of the Fox host. “In a fair world you would get a Pulitzer for your incredible reporting,” Manafort wrote.
Another time, he gushed to Hannity, “You are truly a key part from saving America from this Fascist attack on our constitutional rights!”
Manafort has been sentenced to serve 7 1/2 years in prison.
