Gun-Toting GOP House Freshman Did Nothing To Defend Capitol, Fellow Members During Riot
Lauren Boebert, the recently sworn-in Colorado Republican representative who’s made a big show of strutting around her restaurant and Washington, D.C., with a pistol strapped to her leg, did absolutely nothing to either defend the U.S. Capitol against the Donald Trump-incited rioters last Wednesday, nor did she attempt to help safeguard her Congressional colleagues.
In fact at one point the Second Amendment champion actually tweeted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had been evacuated from the House floor, essentially telling the marauding mob to look elsewhere in the Capitol if they were trying to capture her.
These terrorists were tipped off by insiders. Perhaps @laurenboebert, who was live tweeting that the Speaker had been removed from the gallery (something no one needed to know unless they were hunting for her). Expel her ass now and send her back to her gun restaurant https://t.co/SQd0aE3NM1

On Tuesday Boebert swore that she “won’t be backing down from this election integrity fight.”
The Founding Fathers didn’t back down when people told them what they could and could not do.
With that in mind, I won’t be backing down from this election integrity fight.

Here’s another pre-riot tweet that the freshman lawmaker still has yet to scrub from her social media. In it she literally is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with insurrection co-leader Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and pledging that “On January 6, we’re both going to be fighting for freedom!”

That bravado quickly dissipated when she learned that thousands of Trump supporters, of which she is one, were on the Capitol grounds, scaling walls, smashing windows and doors, assaulting Capitol Police officers and threatening to hang Vice President Mike Pence.
The Speaker has been removed from the chambers.

A little more than two hours later the brave Boebert reassured her followers that she was unharmed. “My staff and I are safe and in an undisclosed location.”
Thank you to everyone that has been checking in. My staff and I are safe and in an undisclosed location. I support peaceful protests and the rule of law, and denounce all acts of violence. I am grateful to the Capitol Police for their service. Thank you for keeping us safe.

About 15 minutes later she posted a photo showing her signing her name to the certification document that confirmed President-elect Joe Biden as the country’s 46th president. So much for not backing down.
1776 is the foundation of our country. Today I signed my name to a document to defend that foundation and our freedom.
The violence we saw today is inexcusable. Pray for America. pic.twitter.com/Y4ELkxJHGr
