Gretchen Carlson Slams Former Fox News Colleague Tucker Carlson for “Spreading Crap”

Gretchen Carlson was one of Fox News true veterans. She joined the network in 2005 and worked her way up from Fox and Friends to hosting her own show. She left Fox in 2016 after blowing the whistle on Roger Ailes constant sexual misconduct.

Carlson now works for People TV. But she also uses her social media channels to opine on what’s going on at her previous network. Last night, she took to Twitter to slam her former colleague Tucker Carlson for “spreading crap” during a segment with Brit Hume.

Hume has regularly pushed election disinformation since Trump’s loss in November. He also helped to spread the conspiracy theory that Antifa was involved in the Trump mob’s storming of the US Capitol.

But Hume slammed Trump on Carlson last night saying, “They (Republicans) believe in their bones that he cost them the two special elections in the state of Georgia, which they manifestly should not have lost. Both candidates were ahead and didn’t quite get enough to avoid a runoff and then they lost in the runoff. A lot of Republicans stayed home, offended by Trump. That’s the reasoning anyway. So that’s the reason Republicans are turning away from him. They think he’s bad news politically.”

This was too much to take for Carlson. She shared a video of the segment and wrote, “I can’t even read this with a straight face. Brit Hume is now calling out Trump for lying to the American people about the election on a show like Tucker Carlson where all that crap was spewed for months? What? This is like cover our asses now?
