Graham Threatens McConnell: I Won’t Support You Unless You Have a Working Relationship With Trump

In 2016, Donald Trump came into the White House with a majority in the House and Senate. Mitch McConnell saw this as an opportunity to accomplish many of his goals. While the then-Senate Majority Leader didn’t seem to like Trump all that much, he saw him as a useful idiot.

Nowadays, McConnell would like his party to move on without the problematic former president. However, many of Trump’s hangers-on in government want to make sure everyone is bending over backward for him. Lindsey Graham went as far as threatening the Kentucky senator.

Last night on Sean Hannity’s show, the South Carolina lawmaker explained, “If you want to be a Republican leader in the House or the Senate, you have to have a working relationship with President Donald Trump.”

The sycophant continued:

“I liked Senator McConnell. But here’s the question — can Senator McConnell effectively work with the leader of the Republican Party, Donald Trump? I’m not going to vote for anybody for leader of the Senate as a Republican, unless they can prove to me that they can advocate for an America First agenda and have a working relationship with President Trump because if you can’t do that, you will fail.”
