GOP Congressional Candidate Threatens To “Round Up” Immigrants & Liberal Legislators

Vernon Jones wants undocumented immigrants — and Representatives Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — out of the United States. He wants this so badly he’ll start the process himself, he’s threatening, on his official campaign social media.

Jones is one of 8 Republican candidates going into a primary later this month for the House seat being vacated by Jody Hice (R), as Hice runs for Georgia Secretary of State to oust Brad Raffensperger (R), who upset Donald Trump and his supporters by refusing to help the former president change the outcome of the 2020 election.
On his official campaign Twitter account, Jones lashed out at undocumented immigrants, saying that they “must go,” and that he’ll “round [them] up” himself, along with Democratic Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.
Every illegal must go. EVERY.
I’ll round em up myself. And send @IlhanMN and @AOC with them – at no extra charge.

Jones has already emerged as a candidate of controversy, as 11Alive reports that a 17-year-old rape allegation, in which the alleged victim reportedly dropped the charges but did not recant the claims, has been brought up by his primary opponents.
According to that complaint, Jones invited the 29-year-old woman to his home to roast marshmallows, and she hoped he would help her with a job. Instead, she showed up at the hospital later, saying that he — then the CEO of DeKalb County government — had raped her.
Jones responded, calling this “part of the playbook by liberals, to come after Black people to come after individuals,” with allegations of sexual assault, and compared himself to Donald Trump, who also faces a long list of allegations of sexual assault and harassment.
