GOP Candidate JD Vance: Alex Jones is More Reputable Than Rachel Maddow

There was a time when JD Vance represented an important voice in politics. Born in West Virginia, Vance rose from humble beginnings to an education at Yale and a best selling book about America’s working class.

Many believed that Vance, who in 2016, regularly slammed Donald Trump, could explain why the former president resonated with the rural poor. But soon after, the author decided his best path forward was going all in on the Trump train. This has led to increasingly ridiculous statements from Vance. Just this weekend, he opined that Alex Jones was a more reasonable voice than Rachel Maddow.

Maddow posted a story about an Oklahoma hospital that was dealing with overdoses from Ivermectin. Conservative media members have been pushing the horse dewormer as a cure for COVID-19.

Pundit Glenn Greenwald responded, “Why is this viral Rachel Maddow tweet spreading a totally false story still up? Why doesn’t it have a “DISINFORMATION” label appended to it by Twitter Safety? Why hasn’t Maddow herself removed it? Why hasn’t Twitter? Yes, these are rhetorical questions.”

Vance shared the tweet and wrote, “Alex Jones is a far more reputable source of information than Rachel Maddow. One of them is censored by the regime. The other promoted by it.”
