Rudy Giuliani has made no secret of the fact that he has been urging the Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden. Donald Trump’s recently released transcript of a phone call between him and Ukranian leader Volodmyr referenced both Giuliani and William Barr. Mike Pence’s conversations with the foreign country were also noted by Trump when he answered questions from reporters.
Now Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is also being brought into the Ukranian controversy. During a Sunday morning interview with CBS’s Margaret Brennan, Giuliani said that Pompeo was aware of his actions regarding Hunter Biden.
Brennan pushed Giuliani about his well documented Ukranian campaign. She asked the former New York City mayor, “Did Secretary of State Pompeo know you were doing these things? Did he ask you to do these things?”
Giuliani responded, “He did not. But when I talked to the secretary last week, he said that he was aware of it.”

Donald Trump’s sometime lawyer then recounted a phone call he had with former Ukraine ambassador, Kurt Volker. “At the time, they didn’t mention the secretary of state,” said Giuliani. “When I spoke to the secretary last week, I said, ‘Are you aware of this?’ And he said, ‘Yes, I know about this.”
This has been a very busy week for the former New York City mayor. He has been notably upset with his recent treatment. Giuliani told The Atlantic, “It is impossible that the whistle-blower is a hero and I’m not. And I will be the hero! These morons—when this is over, I will be the hero.”
