Fox News Host & Commentator Both Agree There is Proof of Collusion
Fox News doesn’t take time to criticize Trump very often, but when they do, it certainly becomes noteworthy. Yesterday afternoon, Fox News host Shep Smith had the network’s judicial analyst and former judge, Andrew Napolitano on to discuss the latest news surrounding Paul Manafort and Mueller’s allegations that he shared polling data with a Russian intelligence agent.
“[It’s] not normal at all,” Napalitano told Smith. “This shows that Bob Mueller can demonstrate to a court, without the testimony of Paul Manafort, that the campaign had a connection to Russian intelligence, and the connection involved information going from the campaign to the Russians. The question is; ‘was this in return for a promise of something from the Russians and did the candidate, now the president, know about it?'”
Napalitano not only called this “collusion” but he admitted that this would be conspiracy.
“Yes, conspiracy is an agreement to commit a crime,” he explained. “The crime would be to receive something of value from a foreign person or government during a campaign. Whether or not the thing of agreement arrives, that is the crime.”
Shep Smith then fired back, saying, “Well if this is collusion, though collusion isn’t a crime, this would be collusion.”
Napalitano then explained that the crime is conspiracy and then emphasized that ‘collusion is a non-legal term’.
Then Smith chimed in and stated, “If there is collusion, giving stuff to the Russians about polling data…,” before being cut off by Napalitano who virtually finished Smith’s sentence in saying, “….would probably fit into that kind of category.”
It’s becoming more and more obvious that collusion took place between the top of the Trump campaign and Russian individuals connected to the Kremlin. The only question that seems to remain, however, is ‘who was involved?’
