Elizabeth Warren caused quite a stir last week when she refused an opportunity to appear on a Fox News town hall. Pete Buttigieg, on the other hand, did appear on the network Sunday night.
The reviews on his town hall have been positive and that includes praise from Fox News anchor, Brit Hume. The television host was blown away by the South Bend mayor, saying he was the most impressive candidate since Obama.
Hume told his audience:
“I think Pete Buttigieg is the most impressive, by far, candidate in terms of raw political talent in the Democratic field, and he may be the most impressive candidate I’ve seen since the emergence of Barack Obama. He is as fluid as he can be and he seems to have something to say about every issue. He seems comfortable on the big stage, articulate, even humorous.”
That’s not to say the Fox Host doesn’t disagree with Buttigieg on some major issue. Hume said that the candidates views on abortion and reparations were “outside of the mainstream.”
The comments may be seen as a message to President Trump, who slammed the network via Twitter yesterday. Hume took exception to Trump criticizing Fox News for hosting Buttigieg. The anchor tweeted, “Say this for Buttigieg. He’s willing to be questioned by Chris Wallace, something you’ve barely done since you’ve been president. Oh, and covering candidates of both parties is part of the job of a news channel.”

Trump has yet to respond to Hume’s claims. You can see a video of the segment here:
