During a Wednesday segment on Fox News, Jessica Tarlov blasted the GOP's Tampon Tim nickname noting that it is going to do the opposite of what they intended.
As Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz signed a bill that put tampon dispensers in all 4th-grade through 12th-grade bathrooms in the state. Period poverty is a real issue, and Walz was widely lauded for his attention and sensitivity towards the issue.
Fox hosts believe this is something Walz should be mocked for, however. After Jesse Watters called the governor, Tampon Tim, Tarlov responded, "Tampon Tim. Yes, I would like to talk about it. You know what, if you knew anything about the Pink Tax or how difficult it is for women when they have their period and they don’t have access to tampons –"
The Liberal talking head then explained, "the point of having menstrual products available in a boys’ bathroom, for 4th to 12th graders, that if there is someone who identifies, if there is a biological female who identifies as male and uses that bathroom…"
After that explanation, Jesse Watters began to laugh out loud. Tarlov responded to his "Your laughing will be the undoing of your side. I’m telling you that, Jesse."
