Former Pence Aide Olivia Troye Thinks There Will Be Right Wing Violence on January 6th
The majority of GOP lawmakers have come to the realization that Joe Biden will be inaugurated next month. Mitch McConnell not only congratulated Biden and Harris from the senate floor, he also warned Republicans against fighting the results on January 6th.
That doesn’t mean, however, that some pro-Trump lawmakers won’t be making a spectacle of themselves. And this continued fight against the election results is whipping Trump supporters into a frenzy. Olivia Troye is predicting that some of these fans of the president will get violent on the 6th.
The former aide to Mike Pence made the comments during a Monday appearance on MSNBC’s Deadline. Host Jonathan Capehart asked about a tweet from Trump where the president wrote, “See you in Washington, DC, on January 6th. Don’t miss it. Information to follow!”

“I’m actually very concerned that there will be violence on January 6th because the president himself is encouraging it,” Troye said. “This is what he does. He tweets, he incites is, and he gets followers and supporters to behave in this manner, and they believe they are being patriots because they’re supporting the president.”
The former White House staffer continued:
“This is a president who calls himself the president of law and order, and we have seen anything but that. We have a bombing on Christmas day. We’ve had protests in the streets. This is all out of control; the divisiveness is through the ceiling because of this man who continues to stoke the flames of these far-right people who show up and think that he’s calling out to them. And so if that is the legacy that he wants, he certainly has it. And it will follow him.”
