Former GOP Lawmaker Calls for ‘Parallel Institutions’ to Counter ‘Monstrous’ Biden Administration
Former Republican United States Congresswoman and failed 2012 presidential candidate Michele Bachmann claimed on a right-wing propaganda outlet last month that conservatives should construct “parallel institutions” to fight President Joe Biden’s “monstrous” agenda.
“If there’s anything we’re seeing right now as we’re having this conversation is that the decisions that are coming out of DC. are nothing less than monstrous. I have never seen decisions this poorly made for the worst reasons. And they don’t have the United States’ best interests at heart. It is a bizarre time that we’re living in,” Bachmann declared on LIFTABLEtv’s Economic War Room with host Kevin Freeman.
Bachmann was and still is a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump (as well as his treacherous insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th), who set aside the interests of the American people in order to do the bidding of his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin.
“So that’s why what you’re talking about, Kevin, is extremely kind to people, because what you’re trying to do is equip people so that they know how best to protect themselves, the assets they have now going forward, we need that, because what I think what we’re looking at is building parallel institutions, if you will. I think we’re going to have to come up with our own parallel health care because we’re seeing even there’s been threats from the United States government if you don’t get a vaccine – and again, I’m not getting into that war right now – but if you don’t choose to get a vaccine, maybe your health insurance won’t cover you, maybe Medicare won’t be there for you, maybe you’ll get cuts on your Social Security,” Bachmann said.
Nobody – at all – has threatened to take Medicare or Social Security away from unvaccinated individuals. But it should be noted that the cost of care skyrockets for everybody when emergency rooms fill up with people who refuse to get their shots.
“That’s why we have to build, I think, parallel institutions. Be they financial, medical, you name it. We need to have parallel institutions because we can’t trust that our better interests will be watched out for by the monsters that are currently in charge in DC. And I don’t say that lightly,” she added.
Bachmann, did not, however, provide a blueprint for these hypothetical organizations, nor did she indicate how they would be financed who would be paying for them.
The only people in Washington who want to starve the population – and bankrupt the nation by refusing to pay for programs that they signed into law, such as tax cuts for the super-rich – are the Republicans.
