Former GOP Candidate Lin Wood Is Predicting Massive Honors For Trump — Who He Still Says Is President

Lin Wood, the Georgia attorney turned South Carolina GOP candidate, is still stanning Donald Trump, who he still believes won the 2020 election — and now he’s imagining up a new honor that he claims is waiting for Trump in the days to come.

Trump’s (reputed) obsession with the notion of his face on Mount Rushmore is well-documented. CNN reported last year that the then-president’s representatives had contacted Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota and queried about the process for getting him added to the massive sculpture.
Later, photos surfaced of a model of Mount Rushmore, altered to include Trump, and USA Today reported that the object had been a gift to Trump when he visited South Dakota for an Independence Day event on July 3, 2020. Noem said that she selected the gift because she knew it was something Trump would want.
Now, Lin Wood has taken it to conspiracy levels, claiming that a spot is being held for Trump (who he still hails as President of the United States) on Mount Rushmore, but it’s waiting until his “work” is complete. See Wood’s Telegram post below, wishing Trump a happy birthday “as he leads America through these extraordinary times.”

In case anyone (besides Lin Wood) missed it, there was an election in November and an inauguration in January, and despite efforts by many of Trump’s supporters, Joe Biden is the President of the United States.
“They are holding a spot for him on Mount Rushmore,” the attorney (who is currently facing review by the Georgia State Bar and has been asked to submit to a mental health evaluation) claims, promising that the honor is just waiting because Trump “has more work to do first.”
