Former Fox Newser Gretchen Carlson Blasts “Wino” Jeanine Pirro Over Name Flub

Gretchen Carlson was, at one time, one of the most popular personalities on the Fox News network. She spent 11 years on the channel, leaving in 2016 after levying sexual assault allegations against founder Roger Ailes. Carlson eventually settled with 21st Century Fox for $20 million.

It appears, though, that the former Fox & Friends anchor is still on the mind of some of the networks personalities. On Tuesday night, Jeanine Pirro slipped up and referred to Tucker Carlson by mistake. Carlson mocked the Judge for the flub and also claimed that Pirro had once tried to “take her down.”

Journalist Molly Jong-Fast shared a clip of Pirro’s mistake with Carlson over Twitter. The former Fox News host responded, “That’s quite a “wino” mistake!!! Call me Governor? Haha.”

Carlson wasn’t done with the Judge. She then tweeted, “Will never forget how Judge Jeanine tried to take me down from within Fox but she just can’t seem to forget my name. Freudian slip because she knew i was telling the truth? I live rent free in their brains. Me and Whitmer. Ghost of Gretchen!”

This isn’t the first time this week that Pirro has been accused of being intoxicated while on air. A video clip of her slurring her words during a home broadcast went viral in late March.

Fox felt the need to issue a statement about the show which read, “Jeanine Pirro was broadcasting from her home for the first time when she encountered several technical difficulties which impacted the quality of her show, including the loss of a teleprompter.”
