FBI: Maxwell Tried to Elude Capture
Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous friend and alleged madam, tried to escape the New Hampshire home where she was hiding to avoid arrest, according to new reports from the FBI.
Maxwell is currently being held without bail in a Brooklyn jail while awaiting sentencing. A judge denied Maxwell’s request to release her on a $5 million personal recognizance bond. Maxwell holds a French passport and is considered an extreme flight risk by prosecutors.
Maxwell had avoided arrest for years, but her luck ran out on July 2nd when the FBI descended on the New Hampshire estate a friend had loaned to her. Maxwell is believed to know deeply damaging personal information not just about Epstein, but also Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and many more famous men. Due to her high profile, additional security has been put on Maxwell’s cell. Epstein was famously found dead in his own jail cell while awaiting similar sentencing.
Trump has tried to distance himself from both Epstein and Maxwell, but there is plenty of evidence that he partook in the infamous parties where they provided young girls to men in power positions. With the insurmountable evidence against her, Maxwell is planning to cooperate with prosecutors in the hopes of receiving a reduced sentence.
