Over the past few months, Richard Holzer has become a key target for officials within the FBI. The 27 year-old Colorado man used a number of different accounts on Facebook to promote hatred towards Jews.
Recently his rhetoric had grown more violent in nature. Following an undercover operation where the bureau had an undercover relationship with Holzer. That operation has now resulted in the arrest of the 27 year-old on multiple charges.
The FBI alleges that Holzer has planned on bombing a Pueblo, Colorado synagogue. The White Supremacist had also told agents that he had paid a man to poison the building’s water supply with aresenic.
Holzer made a number of comments to FBI agents made them believe he was serious. He told one agent, “This is a big center here for them here in town. Thing is, why not hit the heart, right?”
According to an FBI affidavit, “Holzer stated that he did not think anyone would be there, but that if they were, Holzer would not care because they would be Jews.”
The Colorado man, who gave gifts to the undercover agents, said that the bombing would be for the good of whites. “Like, this is a move for our race,” quotes the affidavit. “One of these days, we’re probably gonna do something where one of us, couple of us even, probably won’t come back.”
Holzer is charged with “attempting to obstruct a religious exercise by force using explosives and fire.” If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
