Any store would be shuttered if they treated a kid in that way. He was determined to make sure of it. Nonetheless, he soon realized that this situation was more complex than it looked. This made him pick up the phone and dial the police.
More Than A Father
To his daughter, Bruce was an incredible person. He was her closest companion and when she was having a difficult time, he was her source of stability.
When she went back to her residence that day, she had something she was not allowed to tell anyone, particularly not her father who was overly protective. What was this mystery she was hiding? Who was the one causing the uproar?
It Went Both Ways
Lana, Bruce's child, was not the only individual who was supported by the unique bond they had. Over the course of the last twelve months since her mom passed away, she had been giving her dad the same attention he had offered her.
She was a great support system for him through the most difficult of circumstances, and she was proud of being a great daughter. However, she realized that this situation was too extreme. She was aware that her father would not take the matter lightly.
Glorious Summer Break
When the school year finished, Bruce had had a difficult time since his first book wasn't doing well in sales. However, he had made a commitment to his daughter to take her on a holiday, and he was determined not to disappoint her.
They gathered their belongings and had a wonderful trip in Spain. Once they got back, the issues truly became noticeable.
Back To School
The first lesson of the new academic year had come around and Lana was looking forward to meeting up with her companions again. But this year would be unlike any other.
Beginning that day, Bruce brought his daughter to school. He had faith that nothing bad would occur, however his daughter had her doubts. He should have paid attention to her worries.
Nervous And Excited
Lana felt a mix of trepidation and anticipation as she prepared to return to school. However, she didn't start to display her unease until they were in the parking area.
Bruce got why she felt the way she did. Starting a new year meant teachers were different, but he was sure that his daughter's opinion would improve once she was in the class. But he had no clue how incorrect his assumption was.
Completely Unaware
Bruce had no inkling of what occurred after he took Lana to school. As far as he was concerned, it was just like any other day with nothing to be concerned about.
When his child returned home that night, she was concealing something. Once Bruce became aware of it, he was aware that he had to do something. He wasn't going to allow the educator to do what she did without facing consequences.
Nothing To Expect
Bruce passed the day at his computer, not envisioning anything out of the ordinary to occur for him or his offspring. Nonetheless, he was wrong.
As he gazed at the uninspiring sheet of paper, his daughter was going through something that would have a major effect on their lives. What would the youthful dad do once he discovered the instructor's hidden information?
Just Another Day
When the dad who was still fairly young awoke that morning, he assumed it would be a standard day. And no one could criticize him.
As the day of their meeting came closer, he experienced a thrill. He was certain that Lana would give him all the answers and even more than he was hoping for. But what actually happened was something he did not expect.

Only a short amount of time remained until his daughter arrived home, and Bruce was on the brink of anticipation. He always cherished when his little girl related her initial day of school to him.
This particular day was extraordinary. His daughter was keeping her distance, not saying anything. She wanted to act like nothing had happened, unaware that by not speaking up, she was about to solve the mystery.
That Evening
Lana came back to the house at approximately 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and that was when Bruce became taken aback. His little girl would not share any information on her first day at her new school. Additionally, she seemed uneasy when the topic was brought up.
At the beginning, Bruce paid no attention to it, believing that she was merely having a rough time. Nevertheless, when they ate dinner, he comprehended that this was much more intense.
Noticing Something
Whilst chowing down, Bruce noticed that his daughter was vigorously scratching her arm. He quickly deduced that there was something more to this than just an itch.
She was scratching herself so intensely that he thought she would rub her skin off. He decided to speak up and inquire what was causing her to itch so much. He was not ready for the response.
Trying To Hide
Lana tried to brush off the issue, tugging on her shirt to cover the area more. Despite her efforts, she still couldn't seem to stop itching.
Lana's vexation was evident on her countenance. With each scratch, she applied greater strength than previously. At that moment, Bruce realized that something was seriously off, and he was not departing without a response.
Demanding Answers
Bruce uttered, his voice more intense than he'd anticipated, "Spill it or I'll discover it on my own.
Lana attempted to speak out, but her dad gave her a serious gaze. He had only displayed that particular facial expression a few times before. And his daughter realized that when she saw it, something bad was about to happen.
She Opened Up
At that time, Lana made up her mind to be candid. She had revealed a couple of aspects concerning the incident occurring in her school to her dad, and after she was finished conversing, she rolled up her arm covering.
Bruce was unexpectedly stunned by what he beheld. He was overcome with curiosity as to what had happened and what he would do to the individual that had hurt his offspring in such a way.
Shocking Sight
Bruce was completely speechless, staring at the inside of his daughter's arm as he attempted to understand what was before him.
It took him a little while to get back to his senses, but when he did, his thoughts were flying faster than ever. He wondered who would do something so awful to a child that young?

Bruce traced his finger along the tattoo, yet he was still unable to comprehend the seriousness of the situation. He questioned in a feeble attempt to make sense of the matter, "What is this?
Lana winced as she uttered the word 'tattoo'. This made her dad's temper flare up, as he had not expected her to actually get a tattoo. He initially assumed it was a sticker or something similar. Now, upon viewing it, he knew that it was a genuine tattoo.
Not The Problem
Bruce was extremely angry as someone had caused permanent damage to his daughter's body. It was not only the tattoo, there was more to the story.
As Bruce continued to observe, it was obvious that he had encountered the same design before. Someone else he was familiar with had the exact same tattoo.
He'd Seen Something Similar
Bruce racked his brain trying to recall if he had seen that same tattoo somewhere else. He was positive he had seen it before, but he just couldn't remember who had the exact same, or at least a similar, design.
He spent a long time mulling it over, imagining that person's arm in his head. But he could not decipher the mystery. Could it be a colleague? Maybe a buddy?
Where Was It
For the whole of the following day, Bruce was consumed by the pattern he had spotted on his daughter's arm. He was certain he had seen it before, and he was certain she had too.
He was stuck on one problem - where should he put the design? He had tried everything he could think of to work it out, but nothing worked. So he decided to get in touch with his pals, to see if any of them owned the design.
Thinking About It
Bruce wanted to get back at the person who did this, however there were two issues. Firstly, his daughter would not reveal to him where she went or how she got permission.
He still didn't understand the real cause of the situation, however he never gave up on trying to understand it. He was determined to get the solution one way or another.
Parent-Teacher Evening
Shortly afterwards, the school held a gathering for parents and teachers. Bruce and Lana discussed the instructors his child had and all of them had positive remarks.
But when Bruce met the last teacher, he had all the answers he needed. Before the end, though, he had more queries to ask.
He Saw It
Bruce outstretched his arm towards Mrs. Walker and noticed that she had the exact same decoration inked on her inner arm. In that moment, he understood that he had just identified the origin of his dilemmas.
He had something significant he wanted to talk about with her educator, so he requested his daughter to go out of the space and said it.
Questioning Her
Once Lana departed the area, Bruce shifted his focus to her professor. "You are the individual who sanctioned our kids to get body art?" he inquired with his jaw clenched.
The teacher's face displayed puzzlement. "I'm not sure I understand", Mrs. Walker said. It seemed as though she didn't comprehend what he was saying, however Bruce was one step ahead.
No Information
Bruce exerted all of his might, yet the instructor would not divulge any facts regarding the tattoo, or what went on the first day Lana re-entered school.
He departed from the assembly with fewer facts than he had when he entered. However, the youthful dad was resolute. He would obtain all the details he desired. And when he succeeded, the educator would suffer the maximum consequence.
Talking To His Daughter
That evening, Bruce took a seat next to his offspring and requested her to accurately reveal to him what had taken place that day.
Lana informed her dad that Mrs. Walker was adamant that they get the same tattoo as her to demonstrate their reverence for her as an instructor. But that wasn't all she declared. Lana had one more disclosure to make, and it would alter everything.
A Confession
Lana admitted that the tattoo was not genuine. Nobody had accompanied her to a tattoo parlor, and nobody had granted consent for her to get a long-lasting tattoo.
It was assumed that the Henna tattoo would disappear after a few weeks, however, an unknown factor regarding that particular dye revealed itself only after it was too late.
Getting Worse
After seven days, Lana was in a worse state than before. Initially, she had just a small scrape, but it had now developed into something which Bruce was unable to cure.
Bruce was dumbfounded when he noticed that wherever the Henna dye had touched his daughter's skin, it caused an irritation far worse than anything he had previously seen. Her skin was severely inflamed and became a deep shade of red. At that point, Bruce knew that he had to consult with an expert.
Medical Attention
Bruce took his daughter to the hospital right away. The physicians looked at her arm and quickly found out she was having a reaction to the coloring.
Sadly, this event was not uncommon. The dye contained an abundance of the toxic compound Phenylenediamine, which caused a chemical burning on his daughter's body.
Crossing The Line
The physicians used all their resources to assist young Lana, but the girl would be damaged for eternity. The sign of her instructor would accompany her until the end of her life.
His dad was overwhelmed by the situation. He watched the physicians do their job while he phoned the police station. He was determined that Mrs. Walker would not escape the repercussions for her actions.
