Father Didn't Know About His Daughter For 25 Years Due To Wife's Meddling

Dennis Wilson was there, tightly holding his chest. He was stunned by what the other person was saying.

The noise of the bell stopped and Dennis went back to eating his hot dog and watching the game. But not too long afterward, the bell started up again.

He yelled out for Sheri, but there was no answer. Then he recalled that she had gone out to acquire some nourishment.

He made a sound of annoyance and went to the phone. "This is the Wilson home, how may I help you?" he questioned. No one answered. "Hello? Is someone there? I can hear you breathing," he said.

Dennis stayed focused, however suddenly, the conversation was over. "Strange, people these days don't have any courtesy," he said to himself as he shook his head.

He went to the fridge to get a different beverage and sat down, complaining about not seeing part of the game. Then, the phone rang again.

Dennis was extremely angry about the call he received. He chose to stay put and not respond to the call, letting it keep on ringing.

No matter how often the bell kept ringing, Dennis had had enough. It seemed someone was trying to get in touch with either him or Sheri.

The telephone kept going off, and Dennis finally responded with a hesitant "Hello?" He wanted to know if someone was there.

He begged, "If you don't have anything to tell me, don't call me! I'm attempting to watch the game. Before he could finish his words, a person said, "Hi? Is this Dennis Wilson?

Dennis jumped up and demanded, "Who's asking?" When somebody addressed him by his full name, his police instincts immediately kicked in and he felt anxious.

He stopped, waiting for the next words. "I need an answer," the woman said firmly. Dennis was not happy with what he heard. Who was this woman?

Greetings, Danica. What brings you here? How come you are aware of who I am and that I am a police officer? Have you been keeping an eye on me? Are you following me?" he inquired.

He made certain that she recognized his displeasure. “My mom, Olivia McCarthy, informed me of your identity,” she announced.

Dennis scratched his scalp in bewilderment. He had no clue who Olivia was. "I have no recognition of this individual and I am completely lost," he spoke with much vexation.

He had not watched the entire match. Subsequently, Danica said something alarming. "What I'm trying to tell you is that she told me recently that you are my father. Therefore, I wanted to call you to let you know that.

Dennis was on the verge of swallowing the beverage he had just started drinking. His heart rate was escalating and he was stiffening his body. He had no words.

Listen closely, miss. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be funny or not, but I'm a married man and a dad to three kids. I don't recognize you or Olivia, and whatever this is isn't amusing," he said, his voice showing his irritation.

He was about to hang up when Danica asked, "Didn't you get them?" At that exact instant, Dennis heard his wife's car outside.

He suddenly finished the talk, disconnected the call, and acted like he was absorbed in the game. Nevertheless, the chat he had just had stayed in his mind, causing him inner conflict. He couldn't get rid of it.

That night, while Dennis and Sheri were watching their favorite TV programs, Dennis felt the urge to tell Sheri about the strange phone call.

I received an unexpected phone call while you weren't present today. A lady spoke, claiming to be my daughter. Isn't that unbelievable? He chuckled, but then saw Sheri's grave face.

Sheri had a facial expression of worry. She declared, "I anticipated this to occur in the end, and it came to fruition." Dennis was bewildered and stared at his wife.

John saw that Sheri had an odd appearance. He asked her, "What's going on? What did you mean when you uttered 'you knew this day was going to come?'" She shifted away her eyes.

Sheri stood up and left the room. After some time, she returned holding an object in her hand. "I put all of your messages from over the years inside this container. I couldn't give them to you and risk losing you, Den," she cried.

Dennis was shocked. His emotions changed from mad to upset. As Sheri placed the stack of letters on the short table, he was unsure, but eventually moved closer to it slowly.

Dennis had a tightness in his throat as he replied, "Yes, it's me. I had no clue regarding you, and I'm truly sorry for not being around. Do you think we could get together, Dani?" Danica was flooded with feeling, and she said yes to meeting her dad.

Dennis was delighted to be able to make arrangements to give his daughter a warm embrace after a long period of separation and to turn the page to a new chapter in both of their lives.
