Former Hewlett-Packard executive Carly Fiorina was one of many Republican contenders for President in 2016. Like the other candidates, she was bulldozed by eventual nominee Donald Trump. She had a memorable experience with the current President as he made fun of Fiorina’s looks. “Look at that face,” said Trump. “Would anyone vote for that?”
Unsurprisingly Fiorina is not a big fan of the President and says that he should be impeached. The businesswoman, however, says that she still may vote for Trump in 2020 depending on who the Democrats nominate.
Fiorina made the comments while speaking with Poppy Harlow on CNN. “I think it is vital that he be impeached,” she said. “I don’t know, but I think the conduct is impeachable.”
The former candidate then explained why she is breaking from Trump, who is popular with Republicans. “In this country we pledge allegiance to a flag, and we pledge an oath of loyalty to the Constitution, not to a party and not to a president.”
Fiorina said that Republicans and Democrats are both using the same tactics. ““I think that’s all about politics, the politics of winning,” she said. “The party is focused on winning, just as Democrats are too, by the way. And so, I think Republicans are behaving the way they do because they think it’s going to help them win.”
Despite her pro-impeachment stance, Fiorina would’t commit to voting against Trump in 2020. She told Harlow, “It depends who the Democrats put up, and I won’t go any further than that.”
