Elizabeth Warren Releases DNA Test Results — Native American Heritage Found
Elizabeth Warren, who is one of the Democratic frontrunners to take on President Trump in the 2020 election, has reportedly released the results of a DNA test, and the conclusions made by the test likely won’t please the President.
Trump, who frequently mocks Warren over her claims that she has Native American ancestry, often sarcastically refers to the Massachusetts Senator as ‘Pocahontas’. Pocahontas, for those unaware, was a Native American woman notable for her association with the colonial settlement at Jamestown, Virginia.
This morning multiple reports indicate that Senator Warren, who had a DNA test conducted by an internationally recognized doctor and leader in the application of genomics technology, Dr. Carlos Bustamante, does in fact have a Native American heritage. This means that the President has been mocking a woman with Native American blood for claiming that she had Native American blood.
According to Bustamante, a Stanford professor, there is a 99% chance that Warren has a Native American ancestor in her family tree six to 10 generations ago. Warren’s remaining ancestry is primarily of European descent, but the results, if accurate, prove that she did not lie about her ancestry like the President often alludes to in his racist rants.
Although Warren has yet to announce that she’s running for President in 2020, most Democrats expect an announcement to come as early as the end of this year. Warren, along with former Vice President Joe Biden are two of the favorites to win the nomination if they decide to enter the race.
