Massachusetts Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has called for a boycott of the conservative television network Fox News. Warren called Fox “a hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracy theorists.” She already has a petition going to make sure it happens. It is complete with a message reminding supporters that Warren refused to do a Fox News town hall.

Senator Warren took her fight to Twitter, and let her feelings about Fox News ring loud and clear:
Fox News is a hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracy theorists. I won’t ask Democratic primary voters to tune into an outlet that profits from racism and hate in order to see our candidates. Sign up now to join me and take a stand.

This is all against the backdrop of the fact that the Democratic National Committee has made the decision to deny Fox News debate access during the primaries.
Warren went on to make her case against watching Democrats on Fox News. She says that appearing on that network protects advertisers by letting them hide from bigotry. Warren said:
“A Democratic town hall gives the Fox News sales team a way to tell potential sponsors it’s safe to buy ads on Fox — no harm to their brand or reputation.”
Warren is not alone in her views. After all, Fox News is the one network that is locked out of the Democratic Primaries.
